Wednesday Poetry: Bitter Pill

~Bitter Pill~

Bitter pill
Violated
Sanctity of trust
My friendship
Forgiveness
Never forget
The way you took my kindness
For granted
Lied
Made a fool out of me
Stole
All you could
When my back was turned
My pity
Misplaced
Still the only feeling
I have left for you
Untrustworthy junkie
Now gone
Purgatory
Maybe Heaven
If God can forgive you
But I can’t forget
I feel no sorrow
Just the bitter pill
That’s so hard to swallow.
