#SampleSunday. My Poem entitled HIS ANGEL

His Angel
(Homage to Andrew Davidson’s The Gargoyle)

Tragedy strikes
Like an ambush,
Flaming arrows.
Burned and broken survivor
From a realm of sin.

Love walks in…
An Angel time forgot.
Enough of a Saint
For Salvation.
Enough love
For Redemption.

Lost in my art,
Chip away pieces of stone;
Like charred flesh, brittle bone.
Emerged from an inferno…
Salvation from damnation
Solely due to our Love.

Love transcends time.
Like many tales I spin;
Not merely to entertain
But to let the truth be seen.

In arrowheads, books and statues,
Sculptures and artifacts.
It was always true.

Such is our fate.
Tides will turn,
And I’ll come back to you.
Fire will burn,
And you’ll return to me.

Our love is eternal.
Destined forever
To be your Angel.
