I Grew

And, I became stronger, wiser person

I grew

I spread my wings

Onward I flew

But I never

Forgot

You.

New Poem: Drowning

Drowning

Drowning in a sea

Of unpleasant

Deja vus

Yes, I said

I would always

Remember you

Yes I said I would

Cherish

Treasure

Every moment

We spent together

But what kills me

Is the memory

Of all the times

You walked away

Left me drowning

Lonely

Crying out

For you

Struggling to break free

Struggling to breathe

The air that was

Your love

Wednesday Poetry: Catacombs

Catacombs

I will not run

And Hide

In the catacombs,

Praise silently,

Hide my light

Under a bowl.

I will speak loudly,

Clearly

His Name.

For it is the key

That unlocks the door

To my

Freedom.

Wednesday Poetry: Friends

Friends

We were so much more once

But I remember

How we began

We were surreal

Two artists discussing

Our respective crafts

We became more

We fell in love

We went around

Around the Emotional

Roller Coaster…

Then you fell out

Of love

Shock, disbelief, devastated

I felt such pain

Reacted with rage, sorrow, jealousy, ire…

As you

Simply ignored me

Walked away

One year has passed

It all sinks in…

I rehabilitate my heart

My life…

Now I turn back

Remember what we had

Remember how

We began…

And I wish

We could be

Just

Friends

Wednessday Poetry: Demon

The demon

The demon
From my past
who used to plague
my existence
Haunt
my dreams
The nightmaric hell
of his phony
friendship, allegience
Misspent time
Tied to him
when I should have been
Seeking an Angel…

painful memory
crossed my mind
this morning,
and I cast it
away!
No more fear,
Manipulation or intimidation.
Bad spirits,
go away.

I’ve found my Angel now
I’ve found LOVE,
in its purest form.
All of its beauty, virtue,
faith and love.

Demon at last
cannot dominate me.
He’s fled to find
someone else to plague,
to intimidate, to dominate.
And, I feel sorry
for his prey.
